The Rake’s Progress

 

I love opera, and this one, by Igor Stravinsky, is one of my favourites. I know it very well. I also love Beethoven’s Fidelio, Mozart operas, and some of the much-loved favourites by Puccini. The Rake’s Progress isn’t performed very often, so I was lucky to see it done by Richard Gill’s Victorian Opera, just  before Easter, 2012. Here is my review.
