Saturn

Saturn is the sixth planet from the  Sun and the second largest planet in our solar systsm after Jupiter.  It is named after the Roman god Saturn  Saturn is a gas giant  with an average radius about nine times that of Earth. It is only one-eighth the average density of Earth, but because of its larger volume Saturn is just over 95 times as massive as Earth.

Saturn is famous for its ring system, which consists of nine continuous main rings and three discontinuous arcs, composed mostly of ice particles with a smaller amount of rocky debris and  dust. It has sixty-two known moons; fifty-three are officially named. Titan is the largest, and has an atmosphere. Let’s get out there and check it out!
